How to raise the limit (for files over 200MB)

Click “Large files? Raise the limit” under the drop area and pick your PC's memory (8GB / 16GB / 32GB+). The ceiling rises to 800MB per file. Note that browsers cannot reserve memory, so the tab may stop if memory runs out — your original file stays unharmed either way, by design.

Large-file compression FAQ

Q. How large a file can it compress?
A. The total is 1GB on every browser. Per file it is 200MB by default; via “Large files? Raise the limit”, pick your PC memory and the per-file limit rises to up to 800MB.
Q. Is raising the limit safe?
A. Browsers cannot reserve memory, so the tab may stop if memory runs out (use at your own risk). Your original file is never touched, so even then the file on your device is unharmed by design.
Q. Do big files take long?
A. Depends on the file and machine — but with zero upload time, processing starts the moment you drop it.
Q. Why do files get this big?
A. High-resolution photos, scans and embedded videos. Photos and scans compress well; PowerPoint videos can be removed in one click via the detection card.
Q. Still too big after compressing?
A. Lower the quality in Custom or add image-size reduction. Beyond that, consider splitting the file or sharing via a link.
Q. Which formats are supported?
A. PDF, PowerPoint (.pptx), Word (.docx) and Excel (.xlsx). Protected files and old formats (.ppt / .doc / .xls) are out of scope.
Q. Is anything inside my file ever sent anywhere?
A. No — Sveltiq has no upload at all. Compression happens entirely inside your browser and files are never transmitted. You can confirm it yourself — it keeps working even with Wi-Fi turned off (more on security).
Q. What if something goes wrong?
A. Use “Report a bug” at the bottom. Your file’s contents and name are never sent — only technical details, all shown in a full preview before sending.
